If you’re a junior or senior in high school (or the mom who just opened seventeen browser tabs trying to figure this out), you’ve probably realized that booking senior photos involves a lot more questions than you expected. Where do you even start? What does the process look like? My third son is currently a senior, so I’ve lived this from the parent side as well as the photographer side, and I get it. Finding the right photographer can feel overwhelming. My goal is to give you a senior photo experience that’s relaxed, fun, and fully guided so you can be yourself and walk away with photos you truly love from your Albany Oregon Senior Photography session.
Here’s what working with me actually looks like, step by step.
You Don’t Have to Figure This Out Alone
I want this to be a genuinely great experience so you walk away with photos you truly love. That means I’m involved from the very beginning, not just the hour we spend together at your session.
I’ll help you pick a location that fits your vibe. I’m happy to consult on outfits. And when you show up on session day, I promise I’ll walk you through everything.
A lot of seniors show up to a session not knowing what to do with their hands, where to look, or how to stand. That’s completely normal. I will guide you through a variety of poses and movement that will help you relax so the real you can shine through in your photos..
I know great locations for Albany Oregon Senior Photography
One thing I genuinely love about shooting in the Albany and mid-Willamette Valley area is how well I know it. I scout locations ahead of time, both in the Albany area and throughout Oregon. I love being outdoors both alone and with my family, and that’s how I’ve found some of my favorite spots from beaches to mountains and everything in between.
When you show up, I already know exactly where we’re headed and why it’s going to work for you.
Here’s How the Whole Process Works
Step 1 – Reach Out and Tell Me About You
Getting started is easy. Just fill out my contact form and tell me a little about yourself and the kind of session you’re dreaming of. From there, we’ll connect and start planning something that feels perfectly you.
Step 2 – Lock In Your Date
Once we pick a date, a $200 retainer reserves that time just for you. That retainer is credited toward whichever collection you choose – so it goes straight toward your photos.
Step 3 – Get Prepped With a Guide
To help you prepare, I’ll email you a guide packed with tips and tricks to make your session the best it can be. And of course you can always reach out with any questions. I’ll guide you through everything you need to know about Albany senior photography!
Step 4 – The Session Itself (This Is the Fun Part)
You don’t need to worry about what to do—I’ll guide you through everything. I’ve spent years studying posing so you don’t have to.
Most seniors start out a little nervous and leave saying how much fun they had. It’s relaxed, natural, and so much fun.
Step 5 – Your Gallery Is Ready in Two Weeks
I know you’re excited to see your images – so I keep turnaround fast. Two weeks after your session, I’ll email you a link to your gallery. From there, you can download your digital images, order additional photos, and choose from professional prints, cards, and albums. So easy.
And It Doesn’t Have to End There
Your senior year has a lot of milestones in it, and I’d love to be there for them all. You can come back for:
- Mini sessions throughout the year
- A family session to celebrate this huge milestone
- A cap and gown session in the spring
- Albums and wall art when you’re ready to print
